Pierre Garello is director of the Institute for Economic Studies-Europe and director of Research for the Institute for Research on Economic and Fiscal Issues (IREF) - a think tank promoting fiscal federalism. He is also a Professor of Economics at the Paul Cezanne University in Aix-en-Provence, France.
Garello has published various articles on Austrian economics, law and economics with special emphasis on contract law, corporate law and competition law. His recent works are more concentrated on taxation and public spending issues.
He received his PhD in economics in 1992 from New York University, where he worked on perception and decision theories.
