ანდრია როგავას სამეცნიერო ვორქშოფი კამპუსში

ფიზიკის სტუდენტთა საერთაშორისო კონფერენციის (ICPS 2024) ფარგლებში 10 აგვისტოს კახა ბენდუქიძის კამპუსში გამოჩენილმა ქართველმა მეცნიერმა ანდრია როგავამ ჩაატარა სამეცნიერო ვორქშოფი თემაზე: Tennis Ball Towers: Startling Structures Made of Frictious Spheres.

ანდრია როგავა არის ქართველი თეორიტიკოსი ფიზიკოსი, რომლის სადოქტორო ნაშრომი იყო "ფიზიკური პროცესები შავი ხვრელის აკრეციული დისკის შიდა რეგიონში". 20 წელი მუშაობდა აბასთუმნის ასტროფიზიკურ ობსერვატორიაში მეცნიერ-მკვლევად. მუშაობდა აბდუს სალამის თეორიული ფიზიკის საერთაშორისო ცენტრში ლუვენის კათოლიკურ უნივერსიტეტში, ტურინის უნივერსიტეტში, ტურინის ასტრონომიულ ობსერვატორიაში. 2009 წლიდან არის ილიას სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის პროფესორი. ასევე, არის ამ უნივერსიტეტის თეორიული ფიზიკის ინსტიტუტის თანადამფუძნებელი. მისი კვლევითი ინტერესებია მაღალი ენერგიის ასტროფიზიკა, პლაზმის ფიზიკა და ფილოსოფიური პრობლემები ფიზიკაში.

As part of the International Conference of Physics Students (ICPS 2024), distingushed Georgian scientist Andria Rogava delivered a scientific workshop titled "Tennis Ball Towers: Startling Structures Made of Frictious Spheres" on August 10th at the Kakha Bendukidze Campus.

Andria Rogava is a Georgian theoretical physicist who obtained his PhD in ‘Physical processes in the inner region of black hole accretion disc’. He has worked as a research scientist at Abastumani Astrophysical Observatory for 20 years. He has worked at Abdus Salam International Centre of Theoretical Physics KU Leuven, University of Turin, Turin Astronomical Observatory. He is a professor at Ilia State university since 2009. He is a co-founder of The Institute for Theoretical Physics at this university. His research interests are High Energy Astrophysics, Plasma physics and Philosophical Problems of Physics.
