Funding Opportunities for Scholars - International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP)

16 მაისი 2013

The International Visitor program of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) is one of the oldest and most distinguished programs to introduce foreign decision-makers to the United States. It allows Georgian professionals from different spheres including scholars and university administration members to travel to the United States and get acquainted with the country and its institutions. Most participants do not need English-language proficiency – escort/interpreters accompany most groups. The U.S. Department pays participants' travel and living expenses in the United States. Candidates who have traveled to the U.S. on USG programs, as well as through USAID contractor and other USG-funded programs, are generally ineligible for participation in the IVLP. IVLPs are usually two to three weeks long. All IVLPs begin in Washington, D.C. and typically end in New York City with stops in 3-4 other cities across the country.
