In the school of physics at the Free University of Tbilisi the research in plasma physics is divided into several directions: the study of laboratory and astrophysical plasmas, investigation of unstable processes and nonlinear dynamics of complex system - nonlinear optics. Currently the research is conducted in the context of studying nonlinear phenomena of strongly degenerate relativistic plasmas applied to white dwarfs.
