The Open Society Foundations awards grants, scholarships, and fellowships to students throughout the year.

Alumni Grant Program
The program offers grants to scholarships for alumni of selectedprograms to further expand the knowledge gained during their fellowship and make a positive contribution to their home country.
The competition is open only to Open Society Scholarship Programs alumni who have previously participated in selected programs. Please see the list of programs at the following web address: http://www.opensocietyfoundations.org/grants/alumni-grant-program

DAAD-OSI Program
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Open Society Foundations cosponsor a scholarship program for graduate students in the Balkans and graduate students and junior faculty in the Transcaucasian and Central Asian countries of the former Soviet Union including Georgia.
Awards are available to support MA and PhD studies in the following broad fields: Political Science, Sociology and the Social Sciences, International Relations, Law, Economics, European Studies, European Integration, Public Policy and Administration, Educational Administration and Philosophy, Peace Studies/Conflict Resolution, International Development Studies and Global Political Economy.
Faculty and PhD candidates may choose any university in Germany where eligible disciplines are taught.

Doctoral Fellows Program
The Doctoral Fellows Program is designed to provide the highest research and teaching qualifications to individuals from Georgia and Kyrgyzstan who are positioned to become leading scholars in select fields of social work, public health, education, and psychology.
The awards support flexible doctoral programs that enable fellows to study and conduct research abroad and at home, thereby maintaining professional engagement with their home institutions while completing the degree.

Global Supplementary Grant
The Open Society Foundations offers supplementary grants to students from select countries in Southeastern Europe, the former Soviet Union including Georgia, Mongolia, the Middle East/North Africa, and South Asia. The program enables qualified students to pursue doctoral studies in the humanities and social sciences at accredited universities in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
Students pursuing doctorates in the medical, physical, chemical, technical or natural sciences as well as fine or performing arts are not eligible for this grant.
GSGP grants are for students pursuing doctorate degrees only. Students admitted to Master's programs with the intent to continue, but who are not clearly admitted into a PhD program, are ineligible.
Please note that this is a supplementary program and not intended for full funding. Applicants must be able to demonstrate additional support from other sources.
